The adult content filter failed in 60 seconds

Test: I downloaded and set this up, set content shield on child setting, went to browser (edge in this case, but that does not matter), went to image search site and set site’s filter to off, typed in a type of adult content....let’s just say the fail was massive. I am using this for the ad block and malware protection, but I have to find a better solution to block adult content from devices because any 13 year old can get past this. Worse yet, there is no record I can find of the offending activity. Just as a note, the restrictions option native to the iPhone is terrible and gets in the way more than it helps, what is needed here is a 100% image blocker (video to) that allows a parent or monitor to whitelist image sources (I.e. iPhone photos, text if wanted, and images from particular web sites like Wikipedia or whatever).

Hi Xxboxmusic, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear of your experience. This is how Content Shield works: you accessed a website, Content Shield identifies the website's category, blocks it if it finds it malicious. This means that Mobile Security doesn't block websites that you haven't accessed yet. As of now, we don't have control over the images yet but I'll pass this feedback on to improve our detection and protection.

Like not love ...

Seems to be pretty good overall with no performance hit on iPhone 7 but for some reason I am constantly finding the VPN turned off. When I open the app, the content shield icon is flashing and the circle is “circling” like it doesn’t know if it should be off or on. When I click on it, then it’s on- but a day or two later it’s back again to that weird state...hoping an update will fix this.
Update - Based on the developer response I went into settings to start collecting logs on 2/12 and the only option is to “collect log” and that option sends the log off immediately to trendmicro. I don’t see any option to collect them and send them to my personal email where I can then forward them - somethings off here ...

Hi Jdjax2, upon further checking, you may want to try out the next few steps instead. Also, sorry for sending out the wrong link, that was for the older version of the app.
You may reinstall the app first, if you notice that the issue persists after a day or two, you can do a force restart of your iPhone 7. Just hold the Sleep/Wake button + Volume Down button for 10 seconds. I'd also advise you to send the 'User ID' via email to mobile@trendmicro.com so that we can also take a look.

Best mobile security app

I have used TrendMicro for more than 10 years and I love it. It’s user friendly, online support is great and they’ll help you fix any and all problems or answer your questions. My mobile app is part of my computer antivirus package along with password manager. I have never had any cookies, viruses, or web tracking download to my iPhone or computer. I have tried other virus support programs and always come back to Trend Micro. Anyone’s parents should be more than happen to pay a few dollars for their children’s security & privacy! I definitely would. Thanks Trend Micro.
